Historic Living
Westline is located in the West Line Historic District of Austin, Texas. While the early settlement of the area consisted of expansive estates, the city’s growing population led to the area being subdivided. In 1887, the West Sixth Street Bridge was completed over Shoal Creek extending the West Sixth Street streetcar line, commonly referred to as the West Line, into the historic district. This extended route bolstered the suburban development and influenced many historical neighborhood features that can be seen in the area today. Our new community, Westline, is conveniently connected to downtown Austin while honoring the historic suburban routes of the Clarksville area.
